Prison out reach

Is there anyway this form of chess could be included in some US prisoners tablets so they could play family and friends instead of just a computer?
sure. but it seems like more of a question to ask us prisons (or whoever provides those us prisoner tablets).
It would require a custom client, since normal lichess clients allow free communications. I would bet against prisons wanting to support even that limited of a client, since they make money off (very expensive) monitored phone calls.
A lot of prisons are privatized in the US. If you can show the corporations how chess tablets could allow them to pack more prisoners into the same amount of space, or work out a cost + contract where they make money on each tablet by price gouging the government, then sure.

Although those tablets may end up in prison guard hands, unopened in a supply closet, or sold at 2x markup in the commissary.
my suggestion would be to charge the government for installing "educational software" on the tablets.
